I went to Stephen & Ming's holiday party today, and I met two more Cindy's. In my experience, Cindy's are a very cool breed.
I swear the place I rent DVDs from is out to get me. Even if I return the videos on time, hand them the videos directly, they tack on two-day late fees... It's a mean world out there.
Yesterday, I somehow volunteered to organize what will hopefully be the largest gathering of 2nd gen Taiwanese Americans in the Bay area in conjunction with the Taiwanese community's Lunar New Year festivities. So friends, a great time to visit will be the weekend of February 17 next year...
I never really post videos... but I can't stop raving about Susan and Emily of the indie pop band Exit Clov. These girls are just awesome! I love their sound and smart lyrics. Check out the interview I did with them a couple months ago for TaiwaneseAmerican.org!
As a physician, I'm the one who is supposed to make evaluations and dole out advice. Tonight, the tables were unexpectedly turned on me as a patient's aunt felt it was in my best interest to do a psychic reading for me on the spot. I was too kind to refuse.
I took a bite out of a gingersnap cookie yesterday, which promptly made me want to vomit. Who invented this type of cookie anyways? Were they desperate for baking supplies? Anyways, I've discarded my plan for the Gingerbread Condo and will go for plan B: the Marshmallow Igloo...
