In an email I received today: Taiwan's "Vice President Annette Lu [would like] to invite [the] three of you to attend [the] Democratic Pacific Union Conference in Taiwan."

But, I have the annual TAF Conference going on around the same period, and I don't plan on missing out on this opportunity to be with my 2nd generation "family" from across the Midwest and East coast. It's where I know I can make a difference, and where I go to recharge on inspiration.

Now you know where my priorities are.

What a beautiful day today on this fine Friday the 13th. Sunny skies, comfortable breezes. Lunch and conversation with Sophia in the city. Then a little shopping, a lot of purchases. Afternoon chillin' with Renata and her buddies Laura, Rachel, Giselle, and Nicole. Concluded with an easy evening at work...

I couldn't have asked for anything more.

After a month of visitors, travelling, summer camps, events, and occasional work... I'm now officially exhausted and perhaps looking forward to a day or two of recovery. But, I sure do miss everyone. It's too quiet for me. Friends, come back and visit! I need a hug!
