And now I'm in Boston.

But, what a whirlwind of coincidences... First with Nancy visiting LA from New York at the same time I was there, then on my redeye flight to Boston where I randomly encountered YK and Tina from our NATMA2G group, and finally on my arrival to Boston where I barely crossed paths with Charlene who was leaving for North Carolina for the week.

With a little assistance from my Starbucks coffee here at Harvard Square, I'm trying to wake up a little bit. The gloomy weather here isn't helping.

The Pez collection.

Yummy. Lovely.

4.21.2006

It's been a day of big meals and little naps. Karen and Louise took me to a cute little Japanese restaurant for lunch where the portions were impressively filling and delicious. Afterwards, we all passed out, and figured they must have put something into the food. After our naps, several of my friends and the "movers and shakers" of the LA Taiwanese American community joined me for dinner at Chinatown. All I have to say is, I love Peking Duck. I could live on that stuff. Anyways a good mix of food and people is an excellent way to keep the community connected...

Will, Alanna, Mark, Cindy, me, Jennifer, Joanne, and TsuAnn.

Nina, Louise, me again, Jennifer, Cynthia, and Karen.

Doing the rounds... first, dinner at India's Oven in Westwood with Will, Cynthia, Karen, and Alice (and lots of her teacher friends who aren't pictured here). Afterwards, Alanna dropped by and we hung out at Karen's for some late night "Hollywood" and artist conversation. After hearing all that talk about acting excercises and "dropping into the right place emotionally" for a role, I'm pretty sure I lack and fear the creative right brain... But it sure is refreshing to hear some non-medical conversation for once.

Alanna!

I'm in LA now visiting Karen's condo. Her place makes mine look like the ghetto. Artists aren't supposed to live this nicely. Damn. And if this isn't the bathroom of an artist-type, I don't know what is...

Now I know what it's like to pee in a fairy tale bathroom.

I'm working overnight in the hospital. This is my lovely view from the office...

4.18.2006

It's so beautiful outside. Finally.

4.17.2006

I just came up with the brilliant idea of making my home wine bar into a fine chocolate and wine bar. It will, of course, feature only gourmet chocolates with 62% cacao and higher because I am a dark chocolate snob.

I'm drooling already.

4.16.2006

Tomorrow is an important day because all the Marshmallow Peeps go on sale. Yummy synthetic sweets! Mmmm...

4.12.2006

Yay! It's just about finished... a web portal site for the Taiwanese American community: a place where you can start your web surfing for events of interest. Check it out! This has been my latest pet project for the past couple of weeks. I have alot of friends who have been willing to help me out. Thanks goes out to them wholeheartedly! I'm expecting more people might step forward. Let's see where it goes from here!

Introducing...

4.09.2006

Sometimes I just feel like the world is going faster than I am, passing me by, and leaving me behind. I'm driving in the sight-seeing lane.

This young Asian American beatboxer is talented. Speak out, girl.

Taiwan belongs in the World Health Organization. It's common sense.

4.05.2006

Finally started a new job tonight at a 3rd location... The view of San Francisco and the Bay from this 5th floor office/hospital is spectacular. Especially the sunsets. On quiet evenings, I will probably just sit here and watch cars go by on the highway below...
