Now, why would an airline put a domestic flight in the international terminal? I was so completely confused and spent so much time running around wondering where gate 92 was. After all, the signs in the domestic terminals went only as high as 90. Even the security people didn't know where I was supposed to go. So, I missed my original flight, caught a standby through Denver, and now I'm finally in Houston hanging out with the cousins. We played a little Scrabble, and I kicked some ass. I think the turning point for me came with the triple word value on the "Views Ass" combination play. That almost made up for my pain-in-the-ass day. Yeah, I'm sure there's some good Freudian analysis in there somewhere... if not a little hostility.

My underwear is flying apart, disintegrating before my very eyes. Why? I don't know. It's quite disturbing actually.

John organized a nice gathering of TAYL folks for dinner tonight at a Peruvian restaurant. I feel like I haven't seen many of them for quite some time, but I'm reminded how nice it is to be surrounded by this "family." It turns out Tiffany, John, Frank, and Mike are headed off to med school next year... Our medical contingent is growing.

Since last week, I've become a snob for exotic "potato chips" made of taro root, sweet potato, yuca, red and blue potatoes, and various other vegetables and roots. Can't just stop at one... I'm addicted.
