So, this morning, we left Nice, and with some effort, we arrived in Florence, Italy by way of Genoa then Milan... If you check a map, you'd realize this is not a direct path. But certain Eurail schedules don't seem to be too accurate, so I consider it great luck that we've gotten here together and remained sane after 9+ hours of travelling. That last train we were on from Milan to Florence was a sauna car. Phew. I think only those taking the 1st class cars have the privilege of experiencing intense dry heat while on a train. Pity those 2nd class cars with air conditioning. How spoiled. Anyways, we've only just arrived in Florence, but already, it's looking very beautiful... And we have an internet cafe right across from our quaint little hotel. So, it seems I shall be back soon enough.
