Sylvia and Zachary visited me this afternoon. She brought some Halo Halo over from this Filipino place in my neighborhood that I didn't even know existed. It's very similar to Taiwanese shaved ice, and now I'm craving some more. So good on a hot day. And so nice seeing Sylvia. Our friendship started about 16 years ago. Hard to believe. Anyways, I may have to leave on Saturday morning given my snail's pace at packing...
