I love living here. The Bay area. The diversity. The weather. My apartment. My conversation with Charlene today reminded me of everything I appreciate here, which sadly, I have started taking for granted. Even worse, it took tragedy to remind me of this. Meanwhile, many others in the world and in this country are without the privileges I can enjoy. So tonight, I'm just going to quietly BBQ my dinner, enjoy the cool breeze, and listen to the musical genius of Brian Wilson (from the Beach Boys) drifting in from the outdoor concert hall next door.
